In this article, you will learn about the “References” section of product details page.
Note: You have to tag all selected references in an eBay template for an auction item. This is the only way to show these references on the active eBay listing. For a variation product, you are required to create variation references associated with a reference group. For more information on how to create a Reference Group with variation references, click this Link
Select Reference Group (See the picture below)
- Choose a Reference group for this product. A reference group helps you with organizing your listings and managing your references. If you are not familiar with how to create a reference group, go to this Link. If you don’t want to choose a reference group, you can choose global references for your product.
Warning: In the product details page, you can add/change a reference group from the list as long as the general tab wasn’t saved and Product ID wasn’t generated. Also, you can’t choose more than one reference group per product.
Product Reference (See the picture below)
- These are the global references. References with an asterisk mark are mandatory. Please fill out all the references you need for your product.
- You can also create a new reference by using the link “Add new reference”. A pop-up will appear. Click this to create a new reference. If you are not already familiar with how to create a reference, click this Link to find more information about the fields in the pop-up and how to create a reference.
- Please note that there are many ways to create references, go to this Link to check different ways to create references (Section 2.1).
Note: To go to the next section, go to the navigation menu in the left. Click “Save all changes” button to save changes in all the sections.
