Step 19: E-commerce Shipping Profiles

Summary


In this article, you will learn how to create eCommerce shipping profiles. These profiles are only applicable on eCommerce products.

Please read before continuing:


 

Task Requirements:

  • Go to Control Panel Step 19 “Ecommerce Shipping Profiles”.
  • Click on “Add New Shipping Profile” and a pop-up will appear. (See the image below)

Profile Name: Enter a profile name. For ex: Fixed Shipping profile, Calculated Shipping profile etc. (Follow the instructions for domestic and international shipping settings)

Domestic Shipping Settings:

Shipping Type: You can choose only one shipping type at a time. You have three options: Fixed, Calculated and Pickup Only.

  • Fixed: Once you choose this option, you can select different shipping services from the drop-down. You can add shipping cost for selected services. You can select multiple shipping services (See the image below).

  • Calculated: Choose this option to use calculated shipping for your items. Enter a handling fee (optional), for ex: $10 or 10% (of the shipping cost). Checkmark the “First service free” box to make the cheapest service level/method display as free for the buyer during checkout. There is no way to specify shipping services for calculated profiles. They are automatically displayed(and calculated) when the client is processed on checkout on ecom page (See the image below).

  • Pickup Only: This option means that item is available only for pickup. Enter a pickup handling fee (optional). The pickup dates will be displayed during checkout page on ecom  (See the image below).

International Shipping Settings:

Shipping Type: You can choose only one shipping type at a time. You have three options: Fixed, Calculated and No International Shipping.

  • Fixed: Once you choose this option, you can select different shipping services from the drop-down. You can add shipping cost for selected services. You can select multiple shipping services and specify countries that are excluded for that shipping service (See the image below).

  • Calculated: Choose this option to use calculated shipping for your items. Enter a handling fee (optional), for ex: $10 or 10% (of the shipping cost). There is no way to specify shipping services for calculated profiles. They are automatically displayed(and calculated) when the client is processed on checkout on ecom page (See the image below).

  • No International Shipping: Choose this option to specify that you are only shipping domestically (See the image below).

  • Configure Default Profiles: This section allows you to set a default profile per reference group, when you create a product and select a specific reference group, the profile assigned to it in this setting will be selected by default as the ecom shipping profile.Ecom_shipping_profile
  • Click “Save Settings” to save the e-commerce shipping profile.

Notes:

  • Ecom shipping profiles will override any other shipping settings in the product details for eCommerce products.
  • By default, in Kyozou 1.0 and Kyozou 2.0, eCommerce shipping profiles are getting created in Control Panel Step 19. Shipping profiles are getting created based on the shipping services in the products.
